This trek is no doubt one of the most challenging and interesting in Vietnam. To conquer Fansipan, the “roof of Indochina” (3143m), is a true challenge, off the beaten path, in unspoiled nature. Admire the awesome scenery, flora and fauna!

Night 1: Meet at hotel lobby in Hanoi, transfer to train station for a night train to LaoCai

Day 1: Sapa- Heaven Gate- Base Camp 1 (2900m) (L,D)

In the morning, our guide and driver will meet you at train station the have breakfast at local restaurant before leaving to Sapa. Proceed to Silver Waterfall; short walk to the falls; Heaven’s Gate, glimpse Fansipan; presentation about the region; first section of the trek is relatively easy; break in good shade; continue to campsite; enjoy the scenery and magnificent views of the Sapa area; arrive at the campsite at 2900m late afternoon; overnight in the base camp! Trekking hours: 5-6. Grade: 3 of 5

Day 2: Base Camp 1- Summit- Base Camp 2(2700m) (B,L,D)

Ascent to the top. once at the summit, celebrate the most challenging section of the trail; enjoy the fabulous view to China (on a clear day), rugged mountain scenery and the gentle breezes, descend; rest and lunch under the shady trees; last challenging trek; descending on well-cut single tracks through rainforest to camp; requires concentration; campsite appears at 2700m. Night in the tents.
Trekking hours: 7-8. Grade Moderate/Challenging

Day 3: Base Camp 2- Sin Chai- Sapa (B,L)

The sounds of mountain and jungle wake us for a new day and breakfast; get ready for the final journey back to town; downhill through well-protected forest; stop for lunch; continue toward Sin Chai Village; distinct change in the scenery; rare insight into the rural northern mountains; shuttle brings us to Sapa for refreshment before leaving for LaoCai for a night train to Hanoi
