Me and my boyfriend would like to visit vancouver, i have no idea where to start. ive found a kayaking 3 day trip in johnstone strait. on the site it says to go to either Quadra Island or departure dock in Campbell River. Does this mean anything to anyone? :/ how would i get there and roughly how much would it cost?

we would hope to stay in vancouver for 3-4 nights then move on to the orca trip. Where would be a good location to stay and what else is there to do? im looking for some inspiration as this will be a one and only trip i guess so i want to make the most of it!
